What No One Told You ABout The Portable Toilet

Many years ago before plumbing was invented, using an outhouse constructed from wood and metal  was rather normal.  Of course this was often inconvenient with no way of flushing and no running water.  Today, portable toilets have become somewhat of a luxury from setting them up on job sites, farms, sporting events and festivities such as weddings, musical festivals and so on.

The Luxury Porta Potty

Today you will find portable toilets to be rather luxurious.  They are typically made from converted shipping containers and even come with the amenities of a public restroom with running water, soap dispensers, lighting, mirrors, air conditioning, and some even have hot water!  These luxurious  porta  potties as seen on LuxuryRestroomRentals.com, are generally found at high end events and will run the person buying/renting approximately forty times more than a typical portable restroom.

For approximately $2500 per day, a person can even rent porta potties that include porcelain sinks, porcelain toilets and urinals, gold faucets, laminate flooring, decorative walls and for the person planning on sitting awhile, stereo surround sound!

For the high rise workers, porta potties can easily be attached to trailers and elevated hundreds of feet in the air preventing the worker from taking time to go all the way back to ground level to use the restroom!  These types of potties are good for the workers on scaffolding, high rise window washers, electrical crews, and construction crew members.

How Do You Clean the Potty?

Lye was used years ago in the wooden outhouse era, simply by sprinkling bits of lye into the tank.  Today, with so many companies in the porta potty business, they guarantee freshness themselves by draining, disinfecting and deodorizing the facility on a regular basis.

A typical single portable toilet will hold enough sewage for 10 people during a 40 hour work week.

Other Occasions When A Porta Potty Would Come in Handy

Life can certainly be full of surprises and you never know when a porta potty would be in desperate need!  Should a natural disaster happen leaving you with no water, renting a portable restroom will certainly come in handy!  Should one choose to tough it out with their home toilet, they should remember that with each flush you will need approximately 3-5 gallons of water, which you would have to travel to a place that you can fill several gallons and haul home.  Making your own portable  potty is another idea, either with your existing toilet, or placing a trash bag over a bucket, but keep  in  mind the sanitation hazard that comes with idea, and having to travel with the waste to an appropriate waste site to dispose.

A single portable toilet will easily fit and can be hauled in the back of a regular pickup, so with the high quality and luxuries that come with today’s modern portal potty, why would anyone choose not to take advantage should the need arise whether on a job site, or in the event of a natural disaster!
